Coming back to the arbit thought, I was trying to locate any female philosopher, to my dismay and pleasant surprise I found a big list but why aren’t they heard in day to day life. For most of history, the groundbreaking philosophers have all been men, and philosophy has always been a male genre.
Women had neither the education, will nor the time to pursue the life of the mind it has nothing to do with their capability. In recent times, females have made immense cultural contributions - but much more to literature and the arts than to philosophy. I have always found females more articulate than men, they will always have something apt to express for every occasion but still, I feel women in general are less comfortable than men in dwelling a highly austere, cold, analytical space, such as the one which philosophy involves. Female as a whole - and there are obvious exceptions - are more drawn to practical, personal matters. Most of the female mind is heavily occupied with flurry of subjects they are like modern world Operating System which can multitask but doesn’t have that cognitive superiority to reason behind the existence of the life.
It is not because of that they inherently lack a talent or aptitude for philosophy or higher mathematics, but rather that they are more unwilling than men to devote their lives to a frigid space pondering over meaning of life. Many females today have realized that they are one of the most beautiful creations of the God and hence most of them decide to take on a career in the commercial world to represent themselves in every new mercantile venture. It is the inherent lack or they are so materialistic or self-centered that this world has not produced enough good women philosopher till date ?
